Terms of Use & End User License Agreement

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Boat Maintenance Log (Total Cost & Service Log) (com.saltmarshapps.boatlog), BidMic: Voice Estimate & Quote (com.saltmarshapps.bidmic), our companion web portals at https://saltmarshapps.com, https://saltmarshapps.app, https://bidmic.com, and https://bidmic.app, and any related services provided by Saltmarsh Apps LLC (“Saltmarsh Apps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using our applications or websites, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. License Grant & Platform Terms

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Saltmarsh Apps LLC grants you a personal or internal business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use our applications on iOS, iPadOS, Android, or web browsers on devices that you own or control. For applications downloaded from the Apple App Store, these Terms incorporate and supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. Free Tiers, Auto-Renewing Subscriptions & Lifetime Unlocks

Both flagship applications offer permanent free tiers alongside optional Pro upgrades:

• Boat Maintenance Log (com.saltmarshapps.boatlog): Free tier includes 1 vessel, up to 20 maintenance log entries, unlimited calendar reminders, USCG Safety & Expiration Locker, Vessel & Personal Licenses Wallet with 1-tap Boarding & Docs mode, Zero-Paywall Trip Guest Pass & passenger expense attribution, and 1-tap fuel fills. Optional Boat Log Pro plans:
  • Boat Log Pro Yearly (boatlog_pro_yearly): $34.99 per year, including a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers (Save 42% vs. monthly).
  • Boat Log Pro Monthly (boatlog_pro_monthly): $4.99 per month, billed monthly with no free trial.
  • Boat Log Pro Founding Captain Lifetime Unlock (boatlog_pro_lifetime): $34.99 one-time non-consumable purchase (no recurring charges; never expires).
• BidMic: Voice Estimate & Quote (com.saltmarshapps.bidmic • bidmic.com • bidmic.app): Free tier includes unlimited local estimates, offline voice walkthrough parsing, all 5 built-in trade templates, unlimited numbered Photo Punch-List items, Sign-on-Glass approval, Portable Client Quote Links, and up to 3 free branded PDF exports. Optional BidMic Pro plans:
  • BidMic Pro Yearly (bidmic_pro_yearly): $69.99 per year, including a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers (or $55.99/year for Year 1 + a 14-day free trial when an eligible 20% partner or referral code is applied).
  • BidMic Pro Monthly (bidmic_pro_monthly): $9.99 per month, billed monthly.
  • BidMic Pro Founding Tradesman Lifetime Unlock (bidmic_pro_lifetime): $99.99 one-time non-consumable purchase (no recurring charges; never expires).

Subscription & Trial Disclosures (Apple Guideline 3.1.2):

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the applicable 7-day or 14-day free trial period on the Yearly plan, if offered and not canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends).
• Monthly and Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period or free trial.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the selected plan rate ($4.99/month or $34.99/year for Boat Log Pro; $9.99/month or $69.99/year for BidMic Pro).
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your device’s Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions (iOS/iPadOS) or Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions (Android).
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• You may restore active subscriptions or your one-time Lifetime Unlock on eligible devices at any time by tapping Restore Purchases in the app’s Settings or Paywall screen.

3. Local On-Device Storage & User Backups

All vessel records, engine-hour logs, maintenance entries, USCG safety checklist items, vessel/personal credentials, owner and passenger profiles, Guest Pass bundles, ownership cost items, imported CSV rows, contractor estimates, voice walkthrough transcripts, line items, client records, Sign-on-Glass signatures, punch-list items, trade templates, and attached photos are stored locally on your device inside an on-device SQLite database (or browser localStorage in the web portals). Because Saltmarsh Apps LLC does not store a copy of your database on remote servers, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your device and exporting JSON backup bundles or PDF reports before resetting or replacing your device.

4. Owner Log, USCG Boarding & Fuel Dock Disclaimer (Boat Maintenance Log)

Boat Maintenance Log, the USCG Safety & Expiration Locker (referencing 33 CFR § 175 recreational carriage guidelines), Boarding & Docs mode, the On-Water Fuel Dock Finder, and any exported PDF service histories or ownership cost reports are owner-maintained record-keeping and planning tools provided for informational convenience only:

• They do not constitute a certified marine survey, mechanical inspection, seaworthiness certification, official USCG compliance certificate, or legal, tax, or navigation advice.
• Digital copies of state registrations, USCG Certificates of Documentation (CG-1270), and fishing/diving licenses organized in Boarding & Docs mode are for rapid inspection reference; captains must always carry original signed paper certificates and physical safety equipment aboard where required by federal or state law.
• Fuel dock coordinates, distances, compass bearings, VHF channels, and crowd/owner-entered pump prices are for reference only and are not for primary marine navigation. Always verify depths, approaches, and current fuel availability directly with the marina.

5. Contractor Estimate, Quote & Punch-List Disclaimer (BidMic: Voice Estimate & Quote)

BidMic: Voice Estimate & Quote, its voice-to-estimate parser, trade templates, Good/Better/Best option tiers, change-order calculator, Sign-on-Glass approval pad, Portable Client Quote links (BIDMIC-QUOTE-...), and exported Estimate or Photo Punch-List PDFs are contractor-authored drafting and field documentation tools provided for convenience only:

• All estimates, scopes of work, unit prices, labor rates, markup percentages, sales tax calculations, deposit amounts, and punch-list reports generated using BidMic are contractor-authored quotes and records created under the sole direction and responsibility of the user.
• They do not constitute licensed professional engineering, architectural design, structural certification, building/electrical/plumbing/ABYC code-compliance verification, legal counsel, tax advice, or a binding third-party guarantee by Saltmarsh Apps LLC.
• Contractors and tradespeople are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, material takeoffs, labor hours, sales tax rates, state/local contractor licensing disclosures, statutory lien notices, and contract terms before presenting any estimate, change order, or invoice to a client.

6. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our applications and websites are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind. Saltmarsh Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, pricing or estimating errors, contract disputes, regulatory citations, mechanical failure, or property damage arising out of or related to your use of our applications or websites.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
